1. When I was really little, The Land Before Time was my favorite movie. I would get my mom to renact Littlefoot's mother's death scene with me line for line.

2. When we had a pool, my sister, my cousin and I would pretend we were mermaids. And the REALLY cool part was that we totally believed in it. Once we were eventually forced to get out, we'd have to bathe and stuff, but we'd just pretend magic turned out legs to fins.

3. Once I saw Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park, I REALLY wanted to be an archaeologist. Like, it basically looked like the best job IN THE WORLD. Once I got into college and took a class in Archeology, I realized just how freaking boring it was. It was a sad disappointment.

4. When I was in fourth grade I wrote a story about a Pegasus that lived in Alaska and all the other horses made fun of him because of his wings, until he traveled to the magical land where his Pegasus father lived.

5. I forget how old I was, but when I was small enough that my legs would even fit, I used to use the two sides of a doorway to climb up to the ceiling. One day, the wild hair just took me, and my parents looked up and saw me there. Scared the crap out of them.

6. I used to hold apples in each hand and pretend to be the trees from the Wizard of Oz. My sister would be Dorothy and I would yell at her for taking my apples.

7. My cousin and I, while watching the Princess Bride, used to take plastic tubes from the frame of the hamper and fence. We'd end up hitting each other's knuckles a lot but it was SO MUCH FUN.
